While the faculty, staff, and administration as individuals can be wonderful, Pinewood is a difficult place to work. Concerning particular administrators, benefits, housing, student population, etc, these will certainly change over time. Therefore, before taking a job, I would strongly recommend that you speak to administrators who you would be working with, including your principal and/or head of department. You should also want to speak to teachers at the school. Thessaloniki is a safe, walkable city with a low-cost of living, amazing beaches nearby, excellent food and cultural activities. Although it is not a large multi-national city such as London, Istanbul, or Taipei, it is a good location for traveling to Eastern Europe, Egypt, Turkey, and Israel, not to mention around Greece. In general, international teachers at Pinewood enjoy Thessaloniki and Greece.

There are no benefits or housing. Pay is low. It is fine if you are already in the region, for example, as a "trailing spouse" and you already have housing and benefits from the partner's job, but it does not provide benefits as most international schools do.
